Co-inventor of two patents; author of more than 100 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings; researcher in several national and international R&D Projects, five of which in coordination activities. General-Chair at the Edge-IoT – International Conference on Intelligent Edge Processing in the IoT Era since 2020; Co-Chair of the WDTE – Workshop on Digital Transformation in The Enterprise since 2019; Co-Chair of the Vertical Track: Energy and Power at the IEEE World Forum on Internet of Things 2022. Professional Activities Coordinator at the IEEE Portuguese Section; Counselor in the Executive Committee of the IEEE IPVC Student Branch. Actively collaborates with the IEEE Communications Society and the IEEE Internet of Things (IoT) Initiative, and has been a keynote speaker at international events such as the IEEE IoT Vertical and Topical Summit at the IEEE Radio Wireless Week 2022. His research interests include cyber-physical systems, IIoT/IoT, embedded systems, edge computing/intelligence, digital signal processing, and indoor positioning. When not working, he enjoys traveling, digging records, and playing with analog synths.

[Track Chair] @ Power & Energy Vertical Track at the 2022 IEEE World Forum on Internet of Things

I am excited to co-chair the Power & Energy Vertical Track at the 2022 IEEE World Forum on Internet-of-Things (2022 WF-IoT), in Yokohama, Japan, coming November. My track co-chair Panayiotis (Panos) Moutis, Scott Institute for Energy Innovation at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and Taku Noda, Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI, Japan), and I will be reaching out to many of you who can contribute to the subjects of interest. The contributions may also be remote/online. A paper track is also planned, and more details will be announced soon.
